| Posted: 15 Aug 2009 01:34 PM PDT 不知道有多少人通过 Gmail 更新博客。 对文章里面只含有文字图片的博客来讲，Gmail 上的 HTML 功能应该已经够用了；但是对我来讲，Gmail 还欠缺以下 HTML 功能： 1、不能插入视频 虽然我不经常在博客上插入视频 —— 准确来讲只有这个黑莓刷机教程 —— 但是如果在 Gmail 上能够直接插入视频，那敢情很好。 精博上偶尔会用到表格，例如博客导航。 这些字体大小对博客的结构很有帮助。 4、没有 <!–more–> 精博的主页只显示文章摘要，没有全文显示，所以这个页面分割符号对我来讲很重要，如果不是在邮箱里写好的邮件发表到博客之后，还要进入 WordPress 后台修改。 5、没有图片设置 虽然 Gmail 里面可以插入图片，但是不能设置图片的摆放位置，也不能固定图片的大小和边距。 另外，如果你是从计算机选择图片上传，那么上传的图片会保存在 Google Mail 里，并且图片的链接地址很长，不好看。 虽然我可以先把图片上传到 Picassa，然后再插入到 Gmail 里，但是如果能够把图片直接通过 Gmail 保存到 Picasa，那不更方便管理吗？ 这篇文章就是通过 Gmail 更新的，只是后来我还是得到 WordPress 后台手动添加 <!–more–> 、标签、摘要，并把标题 URL 从中文改成英文。如果 Gmail 将来会就以上 5 个功能作出改善，说不定我就经常用 Gmail 更新博客了。 ------------------------------------- © 逛逛精品博客，看看博客精品。| 转载请遵循"署名-非商业性使用"的创作共用协议。 | |||||||||||||||

Recently, Wpdesigner publish a web host list, from which we can find out how the best 10 web hosts performed.
Maybe the rank is not 100% correct, but the list let me know something which I haven’t realized before: 1. The most expensive may be the worst, and the cheapest may be the best. Yahoo Web Hosting is the most expensive web host, but its Up Time is the least. On the contrary, the NO.1 and NO.2 both offer the cheapest prices. 2. The web host price in Chinese is more expensive than that in USA. Take Justhost and Paangood for example, the price is $5.95 per month （$3.95 is only available if you buy 36 months at a time), about ￥500 per year. What kind of web hosting you can buy with ￥500 from Paangood? Below table says a lot:
As a matter of fact, besides web host, domain name is also more expensive in China than in USA. By the way, I don’t think the NO.1 is the best, for Bandwidth is an important feature for a web host, but Bluehost did not mention that on her product feature instruction. Any way, this web host list is a good reference for wordpress bloggers.
